Introducing Brian Byrne - New Instructor at Oakdale Equestrian Center

Brian is a USDF Certified Dressage Instructor. He was the first American invited to ride with the Hanoverian State Stud Adelheidsdorf, Germany. He is a former rider for the Hanoverian State Stud Celle/ Adelheidsdorf, Germany. During this time he was educated in High School Dressage and Advanced Jumping. His studies were under the direction of Sattel-Meister Manfred Lopp, Hienrich Kemna, and Gerd Zuther. His instructive focus is the correct Dressage training of both horse and rider. With extensive experience, as a Stallion Performance Test rider in Europe and the US, Brian is very sensitive to the foundation needed for the correct progression of the dressage horse both young and older. In addition, he believes in maintaining suppleness and relaxation in the more advanced athlete, rather than performing brilliant "tricks" at the expense of seamless transitions. His riding has taken him from Training through FEI levels. He holds a degree in Equine Science and another in International Business.
